Associate Director, Centre for Global Health

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic, operational, financial, and human resources leadership to support the Centre's growth and mission
• Lead, manage, and mentor staff, including overseeing recruitment, performance management, and workforce planning
• Drive the operational development and implementation of the School’s global health strategy and related initiatives
• Oversee Centre operations, including budgets, strategic communications, and outreach activities
• Develop and strengthen partnership agreements with national and international stakeholders
• Act as a key advisor to the Director, providing recommendations on strategic and financial matters

Requirements

• Graduate degree in public health or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in partnership development and financial management
• Proven experience in managing budgets, financial planning, and resource allocation
• Demonstrated leadership in managing complex operations and administrative functions
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build relationships with diverse partners
• Expertise in project management and the ability to translate strategy into actionable results

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within a school of public health or a public health agency
• Experience managing and mentoring staff within a unionized environment
• Familiarity with interpreting collective agreements
