About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical supervision to mental health and social work interns, including onboarding, training, and evaluations
  • Maintain a clinical caseload providing individual counseling and specialized support for high-need student groups
  • Manage crisis intervention and participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation for multiple campuses
  • Perform walk-in crisis assessments and develop safety and risk management plans
  • Support the Director with strategic planning, program evaluation, and center operations
  • Develop and deliver mental health workshops and trainings for students, faculty, and staff
  • Serve as acting Director when the Director is unavailable

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling, Counseling Psychology, Clinical Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or a related field
  • Full independent clinical licensure in New York State (LMHC, LCSW, or LMFT preferred)
  • 3–5 years of post-graduate clinical experience
  • Proven experience providing clinical supervision to interns or early-career clinicians
  • Demonstrated skill in crisis assessment, suicide risk evaluation, and safety planning

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a college or university counseling center
  • Experience supporting athletes, performing arts students, or professional graduate programs
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and clinical documentation standards
  • Experience managing large training programs with multiple interns
