Associate Director, Cell Biology and Analytical Pathology Functional Team Lead

Responsibilities

• Set strategy and serve as the subject matter expert in analytical pathology and cell biology for the Enzymes and Metabolic Research unit
• Lead and inspire a high-functioning team specialized in advanced analytical pathology techniques and cellular disease models
• Oversee the design of experiments, including the development of methods, assays, processes, and procedures
• Optimize team resource allocation across projects to meet the needs of a growing product pipeline
• Provide career development guidance, training, and performance management for Scientists and Research Associates
• Review and approve scientific reports, SOPs, and contributions to regulatory submissions

Requirements

• PhD degree in a relevant scientific field
• Minimum of 10+ years of related professional experience
• Strong background in analytical pathology, histological techniques, and image analysis platforms
• Advanced knowledge in developing cellular models of human genetic diseases
• Proven experience in project management, budgeting, and resource allocation
• Excellent leadership and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in enzyme replacement therapies, lysosomal storage disorders, or rare genetic metabolic diseases
• Expertise in inborn errors of metabolism
