About the role

Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop, and execute division strategies to capture new markets and adjacencies for the National Systems Division
  • Engage new and existing customers and conduct market analyses to identify trends and addressable markets
  • Advise senior management on internal investment strategies to align capabilities with competitive market needs
  • Cultivate strategic partnerships within the industrial base
  • Manage the division’s marketing budget and lead select Research and Development investment activities
  • Assist technical staff and program managers in transitioning technology to meet customer mission needs
  • Maintain division-level metrics to document ROI on investments
  • Serve as a member of the division leadership team and lead high-performance teams
  • Travel approximately 20% to visit customers and various AST locations

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in the intelligence industry as a systems engineer, program manager, or senior leader
  • Proven expertise in creating and executing multi-year strategic plans aligned with intelligence community missions
  • Demonstrated understanding of Government acquisition processes and US Government contract proposal processes
  • Strong knowledge of program management processes for executing complex programs
  • Active and transferable Top Secret security clearance required on day one, with ability to obtain SCI and Polygraph
  • University Degree with 12+ years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree with 10+ years of experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience specifically within the SIGINT domain
  • Practical knowledge of AST’s customer Concept of Operations (CONOPS) and deployed products
  • Understanding of telecommunications, data communications system concepts, or digital signal processing (DSP)
  • Understanding of broadband communications, including network operations and transport structures
  • Existing TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph
