About the role

Responsibilities

  • Ensure daily operations and compliance with Title IX and other laws related to sex or gender discrimination, including sexual harassment and misconduct.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive Title IX training, education, prevention, and response programs.
  • Serve as the primary investigator for reports of sexual misconduct, gender-based discrimination, intimate partner violence, and stalking.
  • Administer the Title IX grievance process, including meeting with complainants, respondents, and witnesses.
  • Design and deliver training materials for prevention, response, advisors, decision-makers, and appellate officers.
  • Collect and analyze data regarding campus climate and demographics to fulfill regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate with the university's Clery Officer to ensure the validity of Annual Security Reports.
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for departmental initiatives and organizational policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • At least three years of professional experience as a Title IX coordinator, investigator, student conduct officer, or a related role (e.g., domestic violence investigator/prosecutor).
  • Proven experience planning and presenting compliance or educational training.
  • Must complete required Title IX training.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Juris Doctorate (JD) or a Master's degree in student affairs, higher education, counseling, social work, or criminology.
  • ATIXA or other related professional certification.
  • Proficiency in compliance tracking or student conduct software systems such as Maxient or Pave Systems.
