About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for academic services, including admissions, enrolment, registration, and academic systems.
- Lead the development of innovative business solutions and service models to enhance the student experience.
- Oversee the planning, implementation, and continuous improvement of student services such as scholarships, transfer credits, and course scheduling.
- Manage and mentor a team of management and administrative staff, fostering an inclusive and collaborative environment.
- Analyze program and course enrolment data to identify trends and negotiate for critical instructional resources.
- Collaborate with university partners to integrate Faculty policies into student systems and support academic policy development.
- Provide expert guidance on complex admissions applications and appeals.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline.
- 5-6 years of related experience in academic services, student management, or a similar field.
- Proven managerial experience with the ability to lead, coach, and motivate staff.
- Strong data analysis skills to inform decision-making and organizational alignment.
- Experience in student development or academic advising.
- Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in the workplace.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in university or college student development, admissions, or enrolment services.
- Experience working within a policy-driven environment or managing academic policy.
- Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, communications, and organizational development.
- Ability to lead and support organizational and cultural change.
- Strong technical aptitude for managing systems development, implementation, and evaluation.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for engaging with diverse stakeholders.
