Associate Digital Platform Producer

Responsibilities

• Work across MS NOW platforms including linear, digital, streaming and direct to consumer to create and curate content
• Write eye-catching and accurate headlines that spark engagement
• Partner and collaborate with show producers on video editorial content
• Curate MS NOW’s homepage, app and social platforms with a lively, newsworthy mix of content
• Distribute content across partner platforms like Apple News, SmartNews and Flipboard
• Assist in the production and editing of compelling video and text content
• A/B test headlines and story packaging
• Monitor analytics to inform programming decisions

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• At least 3 years of production or editorial experience
• Ability to work a weekend shift (Wed-Sun or Fri-Tues)
• Willingness to work in Washington, D.C. or New York, NY
• Unrestricted work authorization for the United States

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of current events, U.S. politics, geopolitics, foreign policy and history
• Sound journalistic judgment
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• Experience working in social media editorial or publishing
• Experience editing video for social platforms
