Associate Digital Innovation Engineer - Data Science

Responsibilities

• Develop predictive and deep data analytics solutions to solve complex industrial problems.
• Partner with global stakeholders to derive industry knowledge and identify data science project opportunities.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including sensor, software, and chemical engineers, to develop and deploy IoT solutions.
• Contribute to the company's data strategy, including data collection and the creation of a data science project portfolio.
• Execute proofs of concept to demonstrate the value of data science in unique and novel ways.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• Hands-on experience with open-source data analytics toolsets such as R or Python.
• Proficiency in modern statistical modeling (regression, boosting trees, random forests) and machine learning (NLP, neural networks).
• Experience with cloud computing platforms such as Azure or AWS.
• Knowledge of data engineering technologies, including SQL, No-SQL databases, and Data Lakes.
• Strong English communication skills and the ability to work effectively with global stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the specialty chemicals sector or similar industrial industries.
• Background and exposure to Internet of Things (IoT) applications and software.
• Knowledge of quantitative modeling tools and advanced statistical analysis.
• An aptitude for quickly learning new digital tools and technologies.
