Associate Designer, Handbags

Responsibilities

• Support the creation of elevated handbag designs under the direction of Senior Design leadership
• Develop and maintain seasonal design boards, concepts, and visual narratives
• Produce hand sketches and digital sketches using Adobe Illustrator, including color CADs
• Create accurate and organized technical packages (tech packs) with thorough construction details
• Manage sample and prototype preparation for internal reviews and line presentations
• Support PLM data entry and upkeep to ensure design information is current
• Conduct trend, runway, and competitive research to inform brand-right design ideas
• Maintain organized seasonal archives and design files

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in the handbag industry (luxury experience is a plus)
• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or equivalent work experience
• High proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• Strong technical skills in sketching, CAD'ing, and spec'ing
• Proven ability to build detailed and organized technical packages
• Must provide a digital portfolio of work
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple product seasons simultaneously
