Associate Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Utilize Siemens NX software to develop 3D models and assemblies of mechanical systems, ensuring accuracy and adherence to design specifications.
• Collaborate with design engineers to convert technical drawings, sketches, and specifications into detailed 3D models and 2D drawings.
• Create and maintain engineering documentation, including bills of materials (BOMs), engineering change orders (ECOs), and release packages within Teamcenter.
• Manage and organize CAD files to ensure proper version control and data integrity.
• Perform tolerance analysis and verification of parts and assemblies to ensure fit, form, and function.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and production teams to resolve design-related issues and support efficient manufacturing processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2-3 years of experience in Product Design, Development & Modification, Product Validation & Testing, or Sustenance support.
• Proficiency in using solid modeling software to generate 3D models and 2D drafting.
• Working knowledge of material selection and component manufacturing processes (e.g., molding, sheet metal, fabrication).
• Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance (GD&T).

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in Siemens NX, Teamcenter, and PLM/PDM systems.
• Experience working within the connector industry or with electromechanical products.
• Knowledge of conventional and advanced machining, assembly line processes, and prototype techniques.
