Associate Department Director of Regional Mechanics

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic management for the Mechanical and Advanced Materials department at the Santa Fe campus.
• Design and deliver rigorous learning experiences aligned with international academic excellence standards.
• Strengthen and update the Mechanical Engineering program to ensure academic differentiation.
• Generate institutional impact through applied research, academic production, and industry engagement.
• Collaborate with the academic faculty to consolidate the positioning of the School of Engineering and Sciences.
• Support the strategic development of infrastructure and the attraction of inspiring teaching talent.

Requirements

• PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in higher education.
• English proficiency at a B2 level or higher (TOEFL 550+).
• Strong competencies in teamwork, effective communication, and problem-solving.
• Results-oriented mindset with strong human relations management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in research projects, educational innovation, or technological development.
• Experience in academic or industrial consultancy.
• Proven experience in team leadership and managing academic staff.
