Associate, Debt Advisory

Responsibilities

• Support the underwriting and execution of commercial real estate debt transactions, including first mortgages, construction, bridge, and subordinate financing
• Build financial models, perform cash flow analyses, and create lender credit summaries
• Prepare financing proposals and professional client-facing materials
• Maintain lender databases, track mandates, and monitor Alberta capital market conditions
• Manage pipeline and CRM activity across an active deal book
• Participate in business development through client outreach and lender prospecting

Requirements

• Degree in Finance, Economics, or Business
• Previous internship experience in a similar role
• RECA licensed, or committed to obtaining licensing within 3 months of start date
• Proficiency in Excel with the ability to build and navigate financial models independently
• Authorized to work in Canada on a full-time basis

• Commercially minded with a genuine interest in real estate markets and client relationships
• High attention to detail and ability to manage priorities with limited supervision
