About the role

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Senior Conduct Officer, overseeing the administration of the student code of conduct and adjudication processes.
  • Lead the development of unit policies, procedures, and prevention programming to support ethical reasoning and student success.
  • Implement educational programming for the prevention of high-risk behaviors in compliance with Title IX, the Clery Act, and the Drug-Free Schools and Communities Act.
  • Act as a Deputy Title IX Coordinator and serve on the CARE Team and Behavioral Intervention Team.
  • Manage the Student Academic Grade Grievance process in consultation with faculty and academic partners.
  • Oversee unit budget management, staff supervision, and the selection and training of conduct board members.
  • Respond to emergencies and student crises through the Dean on-call rotation, which may include after-hours and weekend work.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in higher education administration, counseling, student affairs, or a combination of related professional experience.
  • At least five years of experience in student conduct, residential life, prevention programming, or other relevant student affairs areas.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of relevant laws and policies, including FERPA, Title IX, Clery Act, VAWA, and ADA/504.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with student information systems (e.g., Maxient, Banner, or Salesforce).
  • Outstanding verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the values of access, inclusion, and diversity in higher education.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience responding to crises and participating in behavior intervention.
  • Ability to develop key performance metrics and utilize data to inform decision-making and programming.
  • Proven experience in program design, management, assessment, and evaluation.
  • Experience in personnel management and budget oversight.
  • Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice, equity, and inclusion within a university setting.
