About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for medical student admissions, student affairs, wellness, and enrollment management.
  • Oversee student support services, co-curricular programs, and initiatives that promote student well-being, belonging, and professional development.
  • Lead holistic admissions processes, including recruitment, interview operations, and admissions committee decision-making.
  • Manage student academic records, registration, and financial aid services in coordination with institutional partners.
  • Ensure compliance with LCME accreditation standards and institutional requirements regarding student health, safety, and conduct.
  • Serve as a key member of the Dean’s Executive Cabinet and collaborate on strategic initiatives for the Boonshoft School of Medicine.
  • Lead major student events such as Orientation, White Coat Ceremony, Match Day, and Commencement.

Requirements

  • Terminal degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution.
  • If a physician, must be board certified or board eligible in their specialty and eligible for medical licensure in the State of Ohio.
  • Five years of experience in a medical school or higher education environment with knowledge of undergraduate medical education or LCME standards.
  • Five years of progressive leadership experience in medical education, student affairs, admissions, or academic affairs.
  • Demonstrated record of scholarly, professional, or programmatic contributions to the field.
  • Proven ability to lead diverse teams and collaborate with faculty, staff, and institutional leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with LCME accreditation standards related to the learning environment and student services.
  • Demonstrated expertise in admissions strategy, holistic review processes, or enrollment management.
  • Proficiency in using student outcomes and admissions data to drive strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Experience working within complex academic health center or higher education environments.
