About the role
Responsibilities
- Oversee academic programming, curriculum development, instruction, and assessment activities.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the School of Education and accrediting bodies (CAEP/AQUEP, Middle States, CSWE, ASHA, etc.).
- Lead the development, revision, and monitoring of the School’s Strategic Plan and Quality Assurance System.
- Act as the key organizer and writer for accreditation self-study reports.
- Manage NYSED applications for new and revised programs and serve as a regulatory liaison.
- Support faculty through mentorship, program leadership, and collaboration on grant proposals.
- Coordinate summer programming and maintain candidate support systems.
Requirements
- Terminal degree in education or a related field (e.g., social work, speech pathology).
- Demonstrated record of teaching, scholarship, and service.
- Proven experience with accreditation, assessment, and curriculum development.
- Experience in program leadership within teacher education or social work.
- Proficiency with learning management systems and assessment platforms.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with CAEP, SPA reporting, CSWE, or state regulatory processes.
- Experience with P–12 partnerships, teacher preparation, or clinical education.
- Grant-writing experience.
- Specialty licensure in social work, education, or speech pathology.
