Associate Dean for Faculty and Students

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with faculty to design and update the dental curriculum to meet accreditation standards.
• Develop and enforce educational policies regarding academic standards, student progression, and assessment.
• Monitor teaching and learning quality to promote continuous improvement and innovation.
• Participate in faculty recruitment and support professional development through workshops and research opportunities.
• Oversee student services, including counseling, career advising, and academic support.
• Manage student conduct issues and foster a sense of community through engagement activities.
• Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and regulatory requirements set by dental boards.
• Support faculty research initiatives and integrate new technologies into dental education.
• Develop strategic plans to advance the mission and long-term growth of the dental school.

Requirements

• Doctoral degree in dentistry (D.D.S. or D.M.D).
• Extensive experience in academic leadership, preferably within a dental school or healthcare educational institution.
• Strong understanding of dental accreditation standards, educational trends, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Visionary leadership with a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in education and practice.
