About the role
Responsibilities
- Oversee the operations of Accessibility Offices, TRIO, testing, learning support services, and the Academic Engagement Program.
- Recruit, hire, supervise, and develop accessibility and retention staff across all campuses.
- Serve as the College’s primary ADA compliance officer, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local regulations.
- Review and monitor professional documentation of student disabilities and advise on reasonable accommodations.
- Provide strategic direction for retention initiatives, including tutoring, supplemental instruction, and student outreach.
- Collaborate with faculty and academic deans to promote universal design for learning and trauma-informed practices.
- Maintain accurate data and prepare reports regarding student retention and completion.
- Manage department budgets in compliance with College policies and government regulations.
Requirements
- Master's degree or a specialized certification program (one year or more of coursework beyond a Bachelor's degree).
- 5-10 years of experience related to student retention and completion.
- 3-5 years of experience working with ADA/504 regulations in a higher education environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Valid driver's license and dependable transportation for travel between campus locations.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory position.
