Associate Database Administrator

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and execute technical support activities for users and database infrastructure maintenance
• Provide guidance and support by analyzing, diagnosing, and resolving database-related requests
• Troubleshoot database issues and support migrations, service implementations, and technology transfers
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure database reliability and performance
• Monitor database performance, capacity, and availability to proactively identify and resolve issues
• Administer and configure database management systems adhering to security best practices
• Ensure compliance with SLA requirements related to response times and downtime communications
• Maintain and update technical documentation for operational excellence
• Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and support teams

Requirements

• Experience supporting and administering databases in Production, Testing, and Development environments
• Hands-on experience with SQL Server
• Hands-on experience with Oracle
• Understanding of database administration fundamentals including configuration and monitoring
• Experience administering backup and storage solutions
• Knowledge of database security concepts and recovery processes
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
• Intermediate English level

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB
• Experience with cloud environments, preferably AWS
• Knowledge of Shell, PowerShell, or Unix scripting
• SQL Server and/or Oracle certifications
• Spanish language skills
• Exposure to financial services or enterprise-scale environments
