About the role

Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain enterprise server infrastructure within Microsoft environments to ensure high availability and stability.
  • Manage the end-to-end software lifecycle, including vulnerability remediation, patching, and software currency upgrades.
  • Lead infrastructure upgrade and migration initiatives, such as SQL Server version upgrades.
  • Conduct security assessments to identify risks and collaborate with security teams on remediation.
  • Provide production support for enterprise data pipelines and ETL processes, including proactive monitoring and troubleshooting.
  • Manage deployment activities and change requests across Development, UAT, and Production environments.
  • Support cloud and hybrid data platforms, including Azure Data Factory pipelines and Power BI Report Server.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies through access control management and risk assessments.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience supporting and maintaining complex data and server infrastructure.
  • Strong technical expertise in SQL Server, SSIS, and T-SQL.
  • Hands-on experience in ETL development, troubleshooting, and production support.
  • Proven experience using the ServiceNow incident management system.
  • Proficiency with reporting tools such as Power BI (Desktop, Services, and Report Server).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to Azure Data Factory pipeline development and deployments.
  • Knowledge of Canadian banking systems, particularly Retail and International Business Banking.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and methodologies.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), testing, and evaluation practices.
