Associate Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build and optimize data pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes on AWS and Databricks platforms
• Manage and maintain AWS and Databricks environments to ensure system uptime and optimal performance
• Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency through rigorous quality checks and monitoring
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Explore and implement new tools and technologies to enhance ETL platform performance

Requirements

• 2-5 years of relevant work experience in data engineering
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Proficiency in SQL for extracting, transforming, and analyzing complex datasets
• Proficiency in Python, PySpark, and Airflow for building scalable data processes
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with global, virtual teams

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS Certified Data Engineer or Databricks Certification
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and vector databases for large language models
• Experience with data modeling and performance tuning for OLAP and OLTP databases
• Knowledge of software engineering best practices, including Git, CI/CD, and automated unit testing
• Experience with cloud services such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
