About the role

Responsibilities

  • Conduct ongoing credit analysis of financial institutions in Argentina and Uruguay to support accurate ratings and research.
  • Interpret and analyze financial statements and other data sources to perform preliminary credit assessments.
  • Prepare financial spreadsheets, charts, and models, including building and updating forecasts.
  • Draft analytical commentary and well-supported rating rationales in line with Moody’s Local methodologies.
  • Support credit monitoring and surveillance activities by updating analytical components and preparing data.
  • Collaborate with senior analysts to support rating actions, publications, and issuer/investor interactions.
  • Ensure data integrity across internal systems and adhere to all methodologies, controls, and compliance requirements.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in financial analysis, credit risk, or related fields.
  • Undergraduate degree in Economics, Actuarial Science, Finance, or a related field.
  • Strong accounting knowledge and proficiency in financial statement analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for producing clear credit narratives.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Graduate or second-level degree such as a Master’s, MBA, or progress in a CFA program.
  • Basic knowledge of Python or other finance-related programming languages.
  • Understanding of artificial intelligence concepts and interest in using AI tools to improve analytical efficiency.
  • English communication skills.
