Associate Counsel – Real Estate, Corporate & Development

Responsibilities

• Lead legal support for new venue development from LOI through post-construction operations
• Draft, review, and negotiate ground leases, purchase and sale agreements, easements, and development agreements
• Conduct legal due diligence including title commitments, surveys, and environmental reports
• Provide legal guidance on guest and team member incidents and operational risk management
• Partner with HR, Operations, and Finance to advise on legal issues impacting daily venue operations
• Draft and negotiate various commercial agreements and support corporate governance
• Develop standard legal forms, playbooks, and processes to streamline transactions

Requirements

• Active member of the Texas Bar in good standing
• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
• 5–7 years of relevant legal experience
• Strong experience with commercial real estate transactions and ground leasing
• Proven ability to negotiate sophisticated commercial agreements
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple complex transactions simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in commercial real estate development or mixed-use developments
• Background in retail, hospitality, or entertainment real estate
• Experience with multi-site businesses
• Previous in-house legal experience supporting a growing company
• Experience in a large law firm or sophisticated boutique real estate practice
