Associate Cost Consultant

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed cost estimates for energy storage facility construction
• Assist in the preparation and review of budget proposals and cost plans
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and project documents for accurate cost projections
• Monitor and control project costs to ensure financial targets are met
• Track and report on cost variances and suggest corrective actions
• Prepare financial reports, expenditure forecasts, and cash flow analysis
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and consultants on cost integration
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers for accurate pricing and value analysis
• Identify and assess potential financial risks and develop mitigation strategies
• Maintain accurate cost documentation for auditing and reporting

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field
• 2-5 years of relevant experience in cost consultancy or cost management
• Experience with large-scale construction projects in energy or manufacturing sectors
• Proficiency in cost estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Understanding of construction processes, procurement, and industry best practices
• Knowledge of contract types including lump-sum, cost-plus, and time & materials

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certifications such as MRICS or CQS
• Familiarity with sustainability practices and energy storage technologies
• Ability to perform value engineering and suggest cost-saving solutions
