Associate Consultant, Employee Benefits

Responsibilities

• Support the Employee Benefit Consultant in servicing a portfolio of accounts representing $1.5M - $3M in revenue
• Analyze and negotiate rate renewals and year-end financials for clients
• Conduct claims experience, benchmarking, and trend analysis
• Participate in client strategy, vendor selection, and RFP management processes
• Develop plan design recommendations based on client budgetary and recruitment objectives
• Monitor industry trends, legislation, and regulatory requirements
• Prepare and present reports and update Benefit Point
• Mentor Client Service Associates

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of middle market or large group Employee Benefits service experience
• Experience in analysis and design of Health & Welfare plans
• Knowledge of both self-insured and fully insured plans
• Experience with plan cost analysis, claim analysis, and financial reconciliation
• In-depth knowledge of compliance and benefit plan regulatory issues
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent business experience
• Valid state Life and Health Insurance License
• Authorization to work in the US without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

• CEBS, RHU, or CLU designation
• Experience with both private and public sector clients
