About the role
Responsibilities
- Support the Employee Benefit Consultant in servicing a portfolio of accounts representing $1.5M - $3M in revenue
- Analyze and negotiate rate renewals and year-end financials for clients
- Conduct claims experience, benchmarking, and trend analysis
- Participate in client strategy, vendor selection, and RFP management processes
- Develop plan design recommendations based on client budgetary and recruitment objectives
- Monitor industry trends, legislation, and regulatory requirements
- Prepare and present reports and update Benefit Point
- Mentor Client Service Associates
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of middle market or large group Employee Benefits service experience
- Experience in analysis and design of Health & Welfare plans
- Knowledge of both self-insured and fully insured plans
- Experience with plan cost analysis, claim analysis, and financial reconciliation
- In-depth knowledge of compliance and benefit plan regulatory issues
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent business experience
- Valid state Life and Health Insurance License
- Authorization to work in the US without sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications
- CEBS, RHU, or CLU designation
- Experience with both private and public sector clients
