Associate - Compensation Group

Responsibilities

• Advise on the implementation and operation of share plans for UK, US, and European multinationals
• Draft share plan documentation related to takeovers, mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions
• Advise on complex employee tax issues, tax planning, and withholding/reporting obligations
• Assist with international reviews and the launch of incentive plans across multiple jurisdictions
• Communicate sector trends and regulatory developments to clients
• Support business development activities, including networking and preparing client updates
• Manage matters proactively, ensuring progress according to timetables and maintaining client communication

Requirements

• Qualified lawyer with excellent academic credentials
• Significant experience in employee share plan issues and wider employee tax expertise (ideally including mobility issues)
• Proven experience as a share plan practitioner
• Strong technical legal skills and a proactive commercial outlook
• Ability to work collaboratively within a global, multi-jurisdictional team
• Resilience and commitment to meeting chargeable hour targets

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with international share plan launches and supporting corporate transactions
• Background in accountancy may be considered
