About the role

Responsibilities

  • Maintain hospital sanitation by managing laundry upkeep, kennel cleaning, and disinfecting exam rooms and patient wards.
  • Provide coverage for service technicians by assisting with patient care, sample collection, and patient restraint.
  • Monitor and restock inventory levels in treatment rooms, patient care areas, and the laundry room.
  • Support veterinary staff with basic animal care tasks and maintain accurate records for seamless service transitions.
  • Participate in various shifts including nights, weekends, holidays, and emergency response or blood bank on-call duties.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, OR an Associate's degree in veterinary technology, OR Vet Tech credentials, OR 3-7 years of relevant experience (depending on the specific level assigned).
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods.
  • Knowledge of animal restraint and handling.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a fast-paced clinical or veterinary hospital environment.
  • Previous experience with specialized veterinary medical equipment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
