Requirements

Bachelor's degree with 4 years experience, Associate's degree in veterinary technology with 4 years experience, Vet tech certification with 4 years experience, 7 years of similar experience, Valid class E driver's license, Small animal or large animal clinical experience, Surgical preparation skills, Patient care experience

About the role

Responsibilities

  • Organize and order supplies for surgical training and manage equipment within the Surgical Training Center
  • Assist with instructional labs, including the setup and breakdown of materials and cadaver/model management
  • Support the instruction of veterinary students in technical skills related to the surgical curriculum
  • Assist with the intake and discharge of animals used in spay/neuter labs
  • Coordinate the execution of OSCEs and other educational activities
  • Provide oversight and assignment of tasks to student workers
  • Assist with research projects and the development of new training models

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 4 years of experience, OR an Associate's degree in veterinary technology with 4 years of experience, OR Vet Tech certification with 4 years of experience, OR 7 years of similar experience
  • Valid class E driver's license
  • Experience in small animal or large animal clinical settings
  • Demonstrated skills in surgical preparation and patient care (pre-op/post-op)
  • Ability to lift more than 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as standing, kneeling, and bending for prolonged periods

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience
  • Organizational or management experience demonstrating the ability to oversee a dedicated space, equipment, and staff
