Associate Chemist - Water Quality

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled analytical procedures for water quality testing accurately and without supervision
• Apply GMP/GLP standards across all laboratory activities
• Write and update SOPs and analytical methods
• Learn new analyses with minimal guidance and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation
• Communicate results and interpretation to clients
• Maintain superior QC performance and verify assigned analyses
• Coordinate technician workflows to meet hold times and turnaround commitments
• Train others in analytical procedures, principles, instrumentation, and safety
• Assist technicians and laboratory assistants as needed
• Conduct all activities in a safe and efficient manner

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related field (equivalent relevant experience may substitute)
• Computer skills and ability to stand at a lab bench for long periods
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

• Laboratory experience including benchwork and instrumentation
• Ability to problem-solve and understand statistics
• Strong writing skills
