About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide spiritual counseling, support, and care to patients, families, and staff during times of spiritual distress or crisis.
- Offer pastoral care services on an on-call basis for patients facing surgical procedures, end-of-life issues, or traumatic accidents.
- Respond to requests for pastoral care in a timely and compassionate manner.
- Ensure the religious and spiritual needs of patients and their loved ones are met.
- Act as a spiritual resource for hospital staff.
- Maintain accountability to the organizational mission, core vision, and values.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in theology, spirituality, pastoral ministry, or an equivalent accredited subject matter.
- Ecclesiastical endorsement from your respective denomination or faith tradition.
- Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS) certification.
- Ability to meet vaccination requirements as a condition of employment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master of Divinity (MDiv) degree from an accredited organization.
