Associate Chaplain

Responsibilities

• Provide spiritual counseling, support, and care to patients, families, and staff during times of spiritual distress or crisis.
• Offer pastoral care services on an on-call basis for patients facing surgical procedures, end-of-life issues, or traumatic accidents.
• Respond to requests for pastoral care in a timely and compassionate manner.
• Ensure the religious and spiritual needs of patients and their loved ones are met.
• Act as a spiritual resource for hospital staff.
• Maintain accountability to the organizational mission, core vision, and values.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in theology, spirituality, pastoral ministry, or an equivalent accredited subject matter.
• Ecclesiastical endorsement from your respective denomination or faith tradition.
• Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS) certification.
• Ability to meet vaccination requirements as a condition of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master of Divinity (MDiv) degree from an accredited organization.
