About the role
Responsibilities
- Assist with marketing, structuring, negotiating, and closing secured and unsecured loans used to finance equity and debt investments
- Prepare financing request packages, including updating Argus and property underwriting for potential lenders
- Summarize and analyze financing quotes and conduct capital market research
- Work with title companies, attorneys, and lenders to complete required due diligence for loan closings
- Implement and monitor interest rate hedges, including swaps and caps, and maintain regulatory compliance
- Calculate, monitor, and report in-place and projected financial covenants for corporate and secured financings
- Partner with Portfolio Management and F&A teams on forecasting, treasury management, and cash activity reporting
- Manage loan draw requests and line of credit borrowings/repayments based on cash needs
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting preferred
- 3 to 5 years of experience in real estate debt capital markets, specifically in origination, underwriting, or loan structuring
- Proficiency in Argus, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Proficiency in using AI tools for automation purposes
- Strong written and communication skills
- Willingness and ability to travel

- Argus certification
- Experience with legal documentation, securitization, or rating agency methodology
