Associate Buyer - Jewelry & Watches

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic merchandise and assortment plans
• Manage a distinct sub-class of business within the Jewelry & Watches category
• Research and analyze competitive landscapes and market trends
• Analyze weekly sales trends, gross margin, inventory health, and product turn
• Utilize analytical insights to pivot merchandising choices and mitigate inventory risks
• Foster and grow collaborative relationships with existing and new vendor partners
• Negotiate terms, pricing, and product allocations
• Partner cross-functionally with Programming, Production, Planning, Tech, and Operations teams
• Mentor and manage junior team members such as Assistant Buyers and Analysts

Requirements

• 3–5 years of direct professional experience in retail buying or e-commerce merchandising
• Proven capability to interpret financial data including sales, gross margin, and inventory velocity
• Experience managing vendor relationships and executing business negotiations
• Technical aptitude with Microsoft Excel and web-based merchandising tools
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field preferred
