Responsibilities

• Gain deep insights into the Fashion Nova consumer by understanding their desires, needs, and shopping experience
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of the competitive landscape and key marketplace players
• Participate in the development of plans to align with seasonal buying decisions and product purchases
• Take full ownership of the assigned product category, managing selection, pricing, inventory, and performance
• Work closely with vendors to identify and select items and drive decisions
• Partner with the buying team and new suppliers to bring the best products to customers
• Drive exclusivity with vendors regarding products, terms, pricing, and vendor-funded markdowns
• Coach and mentor assistant buyers in product selection, trend analysis, and vendor management
• Manage ad hoc projects to ensure timely execution and alignment with business objectives

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Merchandising or a related field
• 2-3 years of experience in buying or merchandising, ideally in eCommerce fashion
• Strong negotiation and vendor relationship management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
• Exceptional attention to detail and quality control
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and work both independently and as part of a team
