Associate Business Analyst

Responsibilities

• Participate in stakeholder meetings to understand business processes and customer needs
• Gather, document, and validate business requirements, including user stories and acceptance criteria
• Translate business requirements into Agile Epics, Features, and User Stories
• Analyze business processes and create process flows, context diagrams, and data flow diagrams
• Assist with creating test plans, executing functional and regression testing, and supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Support the development and enhancement of tools and automation solutions using Power Apps and Power Automate
• Collaborate with senior analysts, Product Owners, and technical teams to ensure successful solution delivery

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, Computer Science, or a related field
• 2 years of experience in business analysis, project support, or working with Power Apps/Power Automate
• Foundational understanding of Agile and Waterfall software development methodologies
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail
• Must be local to Richmond, VA and available to work onsite up to five days per week
• Must physically reside within the United States for the duration of the assignment
• Must be able to attend an in-person interview

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience working with the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT)
• Familiarity with VDOT policies, procedures, and systems
• Experience in data analysis and understanding of organizational data structures

Benefits

• 1099 Contract role
• Pay rate: $22 – $42 per hour
• 12-month assignment duration
