About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop and lead market strategy and proposal review meetings to align with client presentation dates
- Deliver market intelligence and utilize available resources throughout the marketing process
- Identify coverage gaps and highlight new opportunities to provide comprehensive program placements
- Negotiate premiums, coverage enhancements, commissions, and existing coverages with carriers
- Perform thorough reviews and analysis of renewal information, including coverage, limits, and loss history
- Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers and wholesalers
- Bind coverage and manage the creation and submission of carrier binders and documents
- Stay informed of changing insurance and risk market conditions to update service teams
Requirements
- Valid Property & Casualty license (or ability to acquire within 90 days of hire)
- 5+ years of insurance experience in a similar job function
- Strong knowledge of Commercial P&C insurance
- Demonstrated excellence in negotiation and influence skills
- Superior interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage changing deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous success in client-facing roles
- Insurance designations such as CPCU, CIC, or ARM
- Experience with industry technology such as Epic or carrier online rating systems
