About the role
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement scalable software solutions aligned with project requirements and coding best practices.
- Advance BlackRock’s API and event strategy, focusing on governance and maintainability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver efficient applications and review pull requests as a Subject Matter Expert.
- Manage incident queues in ServiceNow and respond to PagerDuty alerts to ensure system reliability.
- Participate in disaster recovery exercises and platform validation activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Two years of experience in an Analyst or related software engineering role.
- Proficiency in full stack development using JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, GoLang, and Python.
- Strong understanding of software engineering concepts, including memory management and data structures.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git source code management, and UNIX/Linux environments.
- Knowledge of APIs and proxies, including REST, NGINX, and OpenAPI Specification.
- Experience with observability tooling such as Grafana and Splunk.
Preferred Qualifications
- One year of experience with Cloud concepts (Azure and AWS).
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Apache Kafka.
- Familiarity with the NPM toolchain.
