Associate Banker

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional service to customers and prospects by identifying financial needs and providing guidance on banking solutions
• Act as a lobby leader to welcome customers and offer advice on digital and self-serve banking options
• Conduct needs-based conversations to recommend personal banking products, credit cards, and investment advice
• Collaborate with BMO partners to identify referral opportunities and grow customer relationships
• Support branch operational activities including inventory management, filing, and opening/closing procedures
• Follow all risk and compliance processes to safeguard customer assets and maintain privacy
• Identify and report suspicious activity related to money laundering to ensure regulatory compliance

Requirements

• 1-2 years of relevant experience in banking or a related field
• Experience in consultative customer service or sales roles
• Proficiency with digital tools, including tablets, smartphones, and online banking applications
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and connections with customers
• Strong problem-solving aptitude and the ability to respond flexibly to new challenges
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
