Associate Banker

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional service to BMO customers and prospects by identifying financial needs and providing guidance on banking solutions.
• Act as a lobby leader, welcoming customers and offering advice on digital and self-serve banking options.
• Conduct needs-based conversations to recommend personal banking products, credit cards, and investment advice.
• Collaborate with BMO partners to identify referral opportunities that grow customer relationships.
• Support branch operational activities, including inventory management, customer applications, and opening/closing procedures.
• Ensure compliance with all risk, legal, and regulatory policies to safeguard customer assets and privacy.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of relevant experience in customer service or a related field.
• Experience in a consultative customer service or sales role.
• Proficiency with digital tools, including smartphones, tablets, and online banking applications.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and connections with customers.
• Strong problem-solving aptitude and the ability to respond flexibly to new challenges.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Basic knowledge of specialized sales and business banking solutions.
• A proactive, self-starter attitude with the confidence to approach customers.
