About the role
Responsibilities
- Administer end-to-end background screening processes for employees and contingent workers using First Advantage and related HCM systems.
- Initiate, monitor, and track background screenings to ensure alignment with onboarding timelines and service level agreements.
- Review and assess screening results, including criminal history, OFAC/sanctions, adverse media, and fingerprinting.
- Apply established adjudication guidelines and manage escalation protocols for sensitive cases.
- Partner with Compliance, Legal, HR, and business stakeholders on escalated findings and adverse action processes.
- Maintain accurate audit documentation and ensure process documentation and standard operating procedures remain current.
- Identify process gaps and control risks to drive operational improvements and compliance readiness.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Compliance, Criminal Justice, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in background screening, onboarding operations, or workforce administration.
- Experience working in a highly regulated or compliance-driven environment.
- Familiarity with First Advantage or a similar background screening platform.
- Strong knowledge of FCRA and related employment screening regulations.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage sensitive, confidential information.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to manage high-volume workloads.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with HRIS and onboarding technologies, specifically Oracle or Fieldglass.
- Experience administering complex adjudication workflows.
