Associate Avionics Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform connector terminations including shielded wires, coaxial cables, and fiber optic wiring
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical orders, and retrofit requirements to perform electrical modifications and repairs
• Troubleshoot aircraft electrical and communication/navigation system malfunctions at organizational and depot maintenance levels
• Perform assembly, installation, and visual inspection of wire bundles and electrical assemblies
• Execute sealing, wrapping, bonding, and tying of wire harnesses in accordance with standard processes
• Use tooling assemblies and fixtures for depot level modification and repair of electrical wiring
• Maintain necessary certifications, licenses, and permits required for assigned work

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience troubleshooting aircraft systems using schematics and wire diagrams
• 4+ years of experience with electrical/electronic theories and avionics systems
• 4+ years of experience working with assembly drawings and standard operating procedures
• 4+ years of experience with component and wire installation, including repairing and testing systems
• U.S. Citizenship required and ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance
• Ability to pass a training assessment and work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime

Preferred Qualifications

• FAA certification in Airframe and/or Power Plant
