Associate Athletics Director of Internal Operations

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key member of the senior leadership team, assisting the Athletic Director with strategic direction and departmental administration.
• Provide oversight of internal operations, including sport administration, personnel coordination, and administrative processes.
• Act as the sport administrator for assigned athletic programs, providing leadership and support to head coaches and staff.
• Manage athletic facilities, game-day operations, and event logistics to ensure compliance with institutional and conference standards.
• Oversee the Sports Medicine unit and coordinate student-athlete support services to promote health and safety.
• Monitor departmental budgets, operational expenditures, and assist with institutional reporting such as EADA and ROA.
• Collaborate with campus partners in Human Resources, Student Affairs, and Academic Affairs to support student-athlete success.
• Lead student-athlete development initiatives and community engagement activities to enhance the department's visibility.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5-7 years of progressive experience in collegiate athletics administration, coaching, or athletics operations.
• Proven experience supervising staff and managing athletic programs.
• Experience with NAIA or NCAA rules and compliance standards.
• Experience with athletic event operations and facility management.
• Strong organizational, decision-making, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Sports Administration, Education, Business, or a related field.
• Experience with institutional reporting and compliance oversight.
