About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead the Department of Athletics business strategy and operations, providing direction for financial planning and operational effectiveness.
- Oversee athletic department purchasing, travel, accounts payable, revenue/expense accounting, and contract management.
- Manage the annual athletics operating expense budget in coordination with the college Finance and Budget offices.
- Prepare annual EADA and NCAA financial reports and coordinate annual NCAA financial audits.
- Set strategy for business planning and process improvement to align athletics operations with institutional priorities.
- Serve as a sport administrator for select varsity programs, providing mentorship to coaching staffs.
- Collaborate with campus partners in Advancement, Human Resources, and Communications to support strategic initiatives.
- Promote the Catholic mission of the College and foster a culture of diversity and inclusion.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum of five years of experience in collegiate athletics, higher education administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in business operations and strategic planning.
- Demonstrated skills in budget management and staff supervision.
- Strong knowledge of NCAA Division I philosophy.
- Ability to analyze operations and implement effective business strategies.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working across institutional departments.
