About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide research support to the EMEA Private Capital team covering venture capital and private equity
- Establish research frameworks to provide independent commentary and forecasts
- Utilize proprietary data, online sources, and academic papers to develop actionable analysis
- Write and edit research reports according to the publishing calendar
- Manage direct-to-client distribution channels for published notes
- Work with data analysis teams to support research using unique datasets
- Present and respond to inquiries from clients, press, and internal colleagues
- Develop relationships with industry professionals to support primary research
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience in equity research or related financial services
- Knowledge of financial concepts like DCF, comps, and IRRs
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interest in private equity and venture capital
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Authorized to work in the United Kingdom without visa sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Economics
- Experience writing long-form research
- Experience using the PitchBook Platform
