Associate Aircraft Wheel and Brake Overhaul Technician

Responsibilities

• Disassemble complex wheel and brake units, including tires, bearings, and hydraulic components
• Perform industrial cleaning, grit blasting, and repairs on carbon and steel brake assemblies
• Reassemble components ensuring proper torque and balance, and conduct functional pressure testing
• Complete all maintenance records, work orders, and FAA-required documentation
• Adhere strictly to Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs), Repair Station Manuals (RSM), and Quality Control Manuals (QCM)
• Maintain a safe workspace while handling hazardous materials and working in a shop environment

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in aircraft component repair or overhaul, specifically with wheels and brakes
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting CMMs, Illustrated Parts Catalogs (IPCs), and service bulletins
• Experience using hand tools, torque wrenches, hydraulic presses, and precision measuring equipment
• Understanding of FAA Part 145 regulations and documentation standards
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements (U.S. Person)

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in aircraft wheel and brake overhaul
• A&P Certification
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
