Associate Academic Coach

Responsibilities

• Maintain a caseload of students participating in the "Say Yes to Education Cleveland" program, first-generation students, or those experiencing academic difficulty.
• Encourage student achievement of academic goals through self-assessment, reflection, and connection to campus and community resources.
• Implement effective intervention programs and early outreach plans to increase retention and graduation rates.
• Manage large amounts of data and maintain detailed, comprehensive student records.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with stakeholders to ensure appropriate communication and effective resolution plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.
• Three (3) years of experience in advising, mentoring, tutoring, student programming, or student services in an educational or programming setting.
• Experience working with diverse student populations and student recruitment efforts.
• Experience using an early alert or advising system powered by predictive analytics.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in student personnel services, adult learning and development, counseling, guidance, education, or a related field.
