Assoc Director/Manager, Business Development

Responsibilities

• Secure and retain business through professional, consultative, and proactive sales activities directed at decision-makers and influencers.
• Actively prospect and leverage new business opportunities within specified customer accounts.
• Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers and develop in-depth knowledge of customer organizations.
• Identify customer needs and propose appropriate strategies or solutions to drive growth.
• Coordinate with contracts and proposals teams to develop comprehensive business proposals.
• Work with operations and functional managers to prepare and lead sales presentations.
• Establish and execute comprehensive sales plans for target accounts and monitor results against financial targets.
• Maintain high visibility within customer organizations and monitor satisfaction through regular communication.
• Record all customer sales-related activities in the CRM system and prepare activity reports for management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5-10 years of related experience, including at least 3 years in the CRO or Pharmaceutical industry.
• Proven track record of managing mid-level and high-level professional contacts.
• Strong organizational, planning, and project management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically MS PowerPoint, MS Word, and MS Excel.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to influence others internally and externally.
• Ability to work independently and as a team player in a fast-paced environment.
