About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide technical advice to healthcare professionals and patients regarding equipment for the disabled.
- Coordinate and perform the scheduling, delivery, and in-home setup of rehabilitative equipment.
- Provide follow-up services including seating adjustments, power equipment programming, maintenance, and component installation.
- Assist patients with equipment trials and manage the delivery or pickup of loaner and demo equipment.
- Monitor manufacturer demo equipment for proper storage and processing.
- Participate in the development of training manuals, customer service documents, and educational materials.
- Contribute to process improvement endeavors, including policy and procedure review.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent of education and experience.
- Valid driver's license (must obtain within 30 days of employment if not already held).
- Ability to meet physical requirements, including moderate standing/walking and lifting, positioning, pushing, or transferring patients.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in both engineering and rehabilitation fields.
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, electronic, and computer engineering.
- Familiarity with computer hardware and software.
