Assistenzarzt Weiterbildung Innere Medizin/Gastroenterologie

Responsibilities

• Participate in a 3-year structured training program for specialist in Internal Medicine with a focus on Gastroenterology
• Complete a 12-month onboarding in a base clinic followed by six-month rotations across various Contilia clinics and medical centers
• Develop endoscopic skills including gastroscopy, colonoscopy, endosonography, ERCP, and capsule endoscopy
• Perform sonography including Fibroscan
• Collaborate in specialized areas such as hepatology and liver clinics
• Participate in colorectal cancer centers and tumor conferences
• Provide long-term care for patients with chronic diseases (e.g., IBD)
• Engage in scientific activities and doctoral research

Requirements

• Completed medical degree and medical license (Approbation)
• At least 3 years of experience in Internal Medicine (Common Trunk)
• Proficient in basic clinical skills and ward work
• Experience in abdominal sonography
• Willingness to rotate between locations in Essen and Mülheim
• Teamwork skills and strong interest in gastroenterology
