Assistenzarzt Weiterbildung Innere Medizin/Gastroenterologie

Responsibilities

• Participate in a structured 3-year training program to become a specialist in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology
• Complete a 12-month onboarding period in a primary clinic followed by six-month rotations across various clinics and medical centers
• Develop advanced endoscopic skills, including gastroscopy, colonoscopy, endosonography, ERCP, and capsule endoscopy
• Perform abdominal sonography and Fibroscan
• Collaborate in specialized areas such as hepatology, liver clinics, and tumor conferences
• Provide long-term care for patients with chronic diseases (e.g., IBD)
• Gain experience in both inpatient and outpatient medical settings

Requirements

• Completed medical degree and medical license (Approbation)
• At least 3 years of experience in Internal Medicine (Common Trunk)
• Proficiency in abdominal sonography
• Strong clinical basic skills and ability to perform ward work and on-call duties
• Willingness to rotate between various locations in Essen and Mülheim
• Teamwork skills, high engagement, and a strong interest in gastroenterology
