Assistant/Associate Teaching Professor, Physics

Responsibilities

• Provide full-time undergraduate instruction in physics and related courses for physical sciences, life sciences, or engineering students
• Teach up to five sections per year, including the PHYS 115X sequence
• Conduct regular office hours to support student success
• Oversee course and associated laboratory curricula
• Plan and develop instructional programs, materials, and evaluations
• Participate in moderate departmental and College service
• Coordinate with other instructors to monitor student progress and assist students as needed

Requirements

• Ph.D. or equivalent in physics or a closely related discipline by the appointment start date
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching undergraduate lecture courses
• Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
• Demonstrated commitment to working with global student populations
