About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide full-time undergraduate instruction in physics and related courses for physical sciences, life sciences, or engineering students
- Teach up to five sections per year, including the PHYS 115X sequence
- Conduct regular office hours to support student success
- Oversee course and associated laboratory curricula
- Plan and develop instructional programs, materials, and evaluations
- Participate in moderate departmental and College service
- Coordinate with other instructors to monitor student progress and assist students as needed
Requirements
- Ph.D. or equivalent in physics or a closely related discipline by the appointment start date
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching undergraduate lecture courses
- Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
- Demonstrated commitment to working with global student populations
