Assistant/Associate Professor

Responsibilities

• Teach online and/or hybrid courses in areas of expertise using innovative teaching modalities
• Create and manage online asynchronous and hybrid course content, including syllabi, lectures, and assessments
• Foster a student-centered learning environment responsive to needs in digital environments
• Engage regularly with students through online forums, virtual meetings, and discussion activities
• Mentor student-directed scholarly work and provide academic advising
• Actively engage in personal scholarship and peer-reviewed research
• Perform departmental service activities as assigned

Requirements

• Master of Social Work (MSW) from a CSWE accredited institution
• PhD in Social Work or a related field
• Two years of post-MSW social work practitioner experience
• Two years of teaching experience in social work education

Preferred Qualifications

• Record of peer-reviewed scholarship and potential for grant-funded research
• Practice experience in research methods, medical/hospital social work, community health, or behavioral health
• Demonstrated experience in curriculum development and instructional design
• Proficiency with online learning management systems and digital pedagogy tools
• Expertise in specialized areas such as trauma-informed practice, substance use, or health and social welfare policy
• Commitment to advancing social justice, equity, and inclusion in a university setting
